HAPPY WORLD TOURISM DAY

           WORLD TOURISM DAY

MY  TRIP AROUND THE WORLD

The magnets on my fridge’s door tell many stories.

My travels of many years are filled with sweet memories.

I have been to several countries in parts of the world.

Many poems and stories about them I have written and told.

*

I have visited New York, London, Germany, Holland, and Toronto,

Anaheim, Catalina, Colorado, New Orleans, Buffalo,

Los Angeles, Hollywood, Vegas, New York, and Paris,

Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Florence, and Venice.

*

Curacao, Florida, Margarita, Virginia, St. Lucia, and Anguilla,

Orlando, Tampa, Naples, Key West, and Hialeah,

Puerto Rico, Barbados, Bahamas, Coco Cay, St. Maarten, and Antigua,

Miami, Switzerland, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Berlin, and Cartagena.

*

I sailed aboard the vessel Creole Queen,

On the River Mississippi in New Orleans.

Rode on a tour bus to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

On a cruise ship, we sailed to Cozumel, Mexico.

*

It was a dream to visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Vatican in Rome,

The breathtaking Trevi Fountain,  and the historical Colosseum.

Such a delight to explore the beautiful countryside in Florence,

How amazing and exciting it was to sail on a Gondola in Venice!

*

The Louvre in Paris and the Leaning Tower of Pisa thrilled me.

I can never forget the Spanish Steps in Rome, the Eternal City.

Stratford upon Avon, where Shakespeare was born.

And a picnic on the Walton Mariner on the River Thames in London.

*

Adventures with Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas.

Boat tour in New York to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Cruising on the River Rhine in Dusseldorf, Germany.

And a tour of the Quartier Renaissance in Lyon, France to sightsee.

*

Riding on the Euro star to El Poble and Toledo,

Both places in Spain are famous for Spanish Gold.

The CN Tower in Toronto is so very high.

I thought the elevator would take me to the sky.

*

And here is a verse about my country of birth.

Trinidad and Tobago is a hospitable country of mirth.

You will love the island life, beaches, and sunshine.

No matter where I roam, Trinidad and Tobago will always be home.

*

Travel, see the world, and leave your footprints behind.

Enjoy God’s Creation while you are alive.

May your journeys bring you stories to tell and more.

Happy World Tourism Day on September 27th, 2024.

A CARIBBEAN EXPERIENCE

A CARIBBEAN EXPERIENCE

Many people only dream of travelling to the Caribbean.
Nationals who are born and live there are called West Indians.
Islands in the Caribbean Sea southeast of the Gulf of Mexico.
Between North and South America form a massive archipelago.
*
Trinidad and Tobago a dual-island Caribbean nation.
With enchanting beaches, cuisine, and cultural traditions.
Owner of Caribbean Airlines and a haven for tourism,
Many flock to Port of Spain at Carnival with enthusiasm.
*
Discover the luxuriant allure of Saint Lucia‘s best.
Exclusive resorts and abundance of rainforest in the west.
Fiery passion and healing waters of its ancient volcano,
Twin peaks of Les Pitons like two lovers you may know.
*
Barbados is also noted for its exotic beaches and resorts.
A place for honeymooners and lovers of national sports.
Botanical gardens and 17th-century plantation houses,
A cruise ship port and surprises your curiosity arouses.
*
Further in the Eastern Caribbean lies exquisite Anguilla.
A haven for Hollywood movie stars, famous for lobster,
This island has long sandy stretches of inviting beaches.
And overlooks another lovely island within its reach.
*
Saint Maarten is another one of my favourite islands.
God must have hand-painted it with his own hands.
From the air, the striking colour of the turquoise sea,
And the white sandy beaches always appeal to me.
*
Curacao is a fabulous Dutch Caribbean getaway.
The floating Queen Emma Bridge will blow you away.
The beaches are tucked into coves and it’s a diving site.
Its expansive coral reefs are rich with marine life.
*
I have spent vacations on these exquisite islands.
Beautiful memories with loved ones grace my photo albums.
The Caribbean is the place to go for a memorable holiday.
The time to start planning your trip for 2024 is today.

MusicTT provides industry-wide strategic direction and action plans toward the development of the music industry as well as guidance and access to music education and capacity development, especially in the business and monetization of local music and protection of the same.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Film Industry emerged in the late 1950s and by the late 1970s there was a small amount of local productions, which included both feature films and television programmes. Trinidad and Tobago boasts of unique country features and an ideal geographic location. In this regard, Trinidad and Tobago possesses substantial resources for the production of feature films such as a variety of contrasting location sites all within close proximity to one another as well as experienced production crews. As a result of these resources, over a period of almost sixty years a number of international feature films have been shot on location in Trinidad and Tobago in spite of other more competitive locations in the Caribbean Region. Improvements in technology specifically the advent of low cost high definition video cameras in the 21st Century, has led to the production of several local feature films in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Trinidad and Tobago Fashion Company Limited (FashionTT) was established in 2013 with the mandate to stimulate and facilitate the business development and export activity of the fashion industry in Trinidad and Tobago to generate national wealth.
In the field of Literature, Trinidad and Tobago is the birthplace of many renowned writers like Sir Vidia S. Naipaul, Michael Anthony, and Cynthia James.
V. S. Naipaul was knighted in 1989. He was awarded the David Cohen British Literature Prize by the Arts Council of England in 1993.
In 2001, V. S. Naipaul was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for having united perceptive narrative and incorruptible scrutiny in works that compel us to see the presence of suppressed histories.
He held honorary doctorates from Cambridge University and Columbia University in New York, and honorary degrees from the universities of Cambridge, London and Oxford.
The islands of Trinidad and Tobago are a tourist haven, and can also boast of having a diverse set of mix of arts and cultural activities, some of which have been expanded in composition, size, and structure to become the main sectors of a growing cultural industry.
This beautiful Caribbean nation made up of two Islands joins with CIESART INTERCONTINENTAL with a great cultural proposal in execution, where they will leave the world speechless with the majesty of their country in the scope of literary and artistic works.
