FOR POETRY LOVERS ON WORLD POETRY DAY

WORLD POETRY DAY 21st March 2026

Poetry has been around since ancient Biblical times.

King David, Moses, and King Solomon wrote the Psalms.

Poets share ideas, express emotions, and create imagery.

And proudly present them to readers in beautiful poetry.

   *

With poetry, we can write about anything we feel.

True things, and even things unreal.

Poetry can take us into an enchanted world.

A land of dreams, reality, hope, and places untold.

   *

Poetry is long-lived and an important part of art and culture.

Blank verse, rhymed, free verse, narrative, and Tanka,

Pastoral, sonnet, elegies, odes, limericks, epics, and haiku.

Even Soliloquy, villanelle, lyrical, ballad, and Gogyohka, too.

  *

When I visited Shakespeare’s hometown, I grew to love Poetry.

Like a stranger standing at my door, it waited to greet me.

It brought out the best in me and made me happy.

On World Poetry Day, I display my poetry books proudly.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NOBEL PRIZE SUMMIT 2023

HIGHLIGHTS OF NOBEL PRIZE SUMMIT 2023

TRUTH, TRUST, AND HOPE.

On the first day, Wednesday 24th May 2023, of the three-day summit, Truth was discussed by Nobel Prize Laureates.
I was in the virtual audience and participated in the questions and answers segment.
Truth is vital and matters more than ever today.
There is truth, misinformation, and disinformation.
Misinformation and disinformation are undermining Society and it is not limited to science
Citizens deserve to be reliably informed, because misinformation and disinformation cause rifts in society.
Misinformation may be caused by genuine mistakes of those reporting it, but disinformation is false information which is spread deliberately.
Cultural Mind-sets and Memory Distortion are counter-productive to Progress.
The Summit continued on Thursday and Friday, when Trust and Hope was discussed.
DAY TWO - THURSDAY- I participated in Deliberative Polling Exercise
DAY THREE - Finding Solutions and a Final Survey of the Proceedings.
