Thanks to Shakil Kalam, Editor, my Interview was published in DIPON MAGAZINE in Bangladesh.
Here is my Interview:
                             Brenda Mohammed, Trinidad and Tobago
Question: Please introduce yourself mentioning your birthday, place, education, publications, and profession.
Answer: I am Brenda Mohammed from San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago with qualifications in Banking, Insurance, and Writing. I was a former successful Bank Manager at Republic Bank Limited, formerly Barclays Bank D.C.O, in Trinidad.
When I retired from Banking I moved into Insurance where I qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table, the Premier Association for Financial Professionals, [MDRT], for six consecutive years.
After a near-death experience with cancer and a miraculous recovery after treatment and surgery at the Sylvester Cancer Centre at the University of Miami Hospital, I started writing. To date, I have published 62 books and a five-series screenplay for my sci-fi thriller Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka. I am now a multi-award-winning author by profession. My birthday falls on December 1st.
Question: When and how did you start writing and who inspired you?
Answer: I was inspired to write a memoir after my bout with cancer. I wanted to let readers know that cancer does not have to be a death sentence. The book titled I AM CANCER FREE became a bestseller and I was encouraged to keep on writing.
Question: What are the components of your write-ups? How do you enjoy it?
Answer: My genres include memoirs, science fiction, romance, self-help, mystery, children’s books, psychological thrillers, Christian books, poetry, magazines, and poetry anthologies. I love writing. Many of my books received five-star reviews from Reader’s Favorite International, and many attained the No. 1 bestseller ranking on the new release. I wrote a memoir, My Life as a Banker, about my experiences at the bank, from manual to automation to computerization, and my involvement in the expansion and changes the bank underwent. It won second prize for Best Memoir in the Metamorph Publishing Awards in the USA. I won two awards from Reader’s Favorite International for my science fiction book, ‘Zeeka Chronicles’ in the Young Adult category. Thriller, and my Memoir, ‘I am Cancer Free’ in the category Health and Fitness. Barry Holmes Mysteries was a finalist in the Independent Author Awards 2024 hosted by Literary Global Awards. Three of my books have won gold awards in Connection Emagazine Readers’ Choice Awards Zeeka Chronicles, Stories People Love, and How to Write for Success.
Question: Being a creative personality, what are your social responsibilities? Please explain it.
Answer: I have established a Facebook group “How to Write for Success Literary Forum” where poets and writers can share poems and their writings with members all over the world. I am the National President of the International Chamber of Writers and Artists with headquarters in Spain and directives in 130 countries. I am also the National President for UHE with headquarters in Peru and offices in 106 countries. We support international culture and UNESCO initiatives. I donate books to libraries, churches, and schools, and organize book signings and book fairs.
Question: I know you are an internationally acclaimed poet. What is your perception of internationalism, and to what extent have you incorporated it into your writings in the contemporary world?
Answer: All of my books are published internationally on Amazon. My poetry covers themes of promoting worldwide peace and security, self-determination, economic stability, and humanitarianism. As a person who has travelled extensively to many countries in the world, I write for a global readership. I should also mention that I have received International awards from 45 countries of the world.
Question: Do you get any difference between foreign poets' poems and yours? If it is, what are these?
Answer: Yes. Some poets write about problems in their own country. Some write in their native languages but they give English translations.
I write for global readers although I live in Trinidad and Tobago.
Question: What are your views about postmodern literature, especially in poetry?
Answer: I am not obsessed with it, but I enjoy poetry in any form.

Question: How much peace, human rights, humanity, environment, and philosophy emerge in your writing?

Answer: Most of my poetry revolves around these topics. My 62nd. book is titled SAVE GOD’S EARTH. It consists of poems on Climate change, the environment, peace, love, and humanity. It was an Amazon No 1 Hot New Release. I am an advocate against Domestic Violence and for peace, suicide prevention, humanity, and the environment. Together with several international authors, I have published seven anthologies and six magazines on these topics, each of which attained the status of Amazon's No. 1 best-seller.
