Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka, written by Brenda Mohammed, is a fast-paced, ethically layered Caribbean sci-fi thriller that explores the dark possibilities of artificial intelligence, human ambition, and vengeance in a futuristic Caribbean.
It is perfect for fans of high-concept science fiction, biotech suspense, and readers seeking underrepresented voices in speculative fiction.
The book is comparable to Comparable to:
— Prey by Michael Crichton — for its fusion of science and suspense
— Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson — for rogue AI and robotic rebellion
— The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells — for experimental ethics and isolation
— Altered Carbon by Richard K. Morgan — for futuristic noir elements
Based on Reality: The story is purely the author’s imagination, inspired by the zika virus pandemic in 2016. Zombies and robots take centre stage, and good triumphs over evil.
Rich Futuristic Settings: The five-episode futuristic sci-fi thriller is set in 2036 on an imaginary Caribbean tourist island paradise off the coast of South America, popular for posh beaches and annual Carnival celebrations. Classic sci-fi elements, dark fantasy, and high-tech weapons blend with Caribbean folklore and lifestyle, creating a visually stunning world of sun-kissed shores where palm trees sway and steel drums echo.
Character-Driven: Drama and intrigue delve deep into the psychological complexities of the Antagonist, Chief of Police Bill Grady [ Master Zeeka], and Dr. Steven Sharpe, the Protagonist, their families, and acquaintances.
The mind-blowing story begins in Zeeka and the Zombies Series 1 and continues in Zeeka’s Child Series 2, Zeeka Returns Series 3, Zeeka’s Ghost Series 4, and Resurrection Series 5.
The excitement builds with each series as the detectives unearth more clues, and the author succeeds in pulling the various strands together to offer a breathtaking conclusion, where good triumphs over evil.
This futuristic thriller was an award winner in the Category, Young Adult Thriller in Reader’s Favorite International Awards 2018, winner in Science Fiction in SIBA Awards 2017, winner of the gold award in the category Science Fiction in Connections Emagazine Readers’ Choice Awards 2018, and winner in the top ten finalists for science-fiction in the Author Academy Global Awards 2018.
